Anthropocene
The term Anthropocene is used to describe the era in which humans have become the primary drivers of changes to the Earth's environment and climate.
Array
An array is like a container that can hold multiple pieces of related data, like a list or a table, and each item in the array is assigned a unique number, called an index, which allows the programmer to access and manipulate each item individually. This makes it easier to work with a large amount of data, and is commonly used in programming to store and manipulate collections of related data.
Artificial Generative Intelligence (AGI)
AGI refers to a hypothetical future AI system that can match or exceed human intelligence in all areas, including creativity, problem-solving, and social skills. An AGI system would be able to perform any intellectual task that a human can, and potentially even surpass humans in certain areas.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
AI is a machine that performs specific tasks well. AI refers to any machine or computer program that can perform tasks that would typically require human intelligence, such as recognising speech, playing chess, or identifying objects in images. AI can be further classified into two categories: narrow AI and general AI. Narrow AI refers to systems designed to perform specific tasks, while general AI refers to systems capable of performing any intellectual task that a human can. Currently, most AI systems are narrow AI, which means they are designed for specific tasks and can't generalise to other tasks or contexts.
Assets
In the context of extended realities, assets refer to the digital files and objects that make up a virtual environment.
Augmented Reality (AR)
A technology that overlays digital information on the user's view of the real world.
Authored narrative
Authored narrative refers to a form of storytelling or narrative that is created by a human author, such as a novelist, playwright, or screenwriter. In this type of narrative, the author has complete control over the characters, plot, and themes of the story, and is responsible for creating a narrative that resonates with the audience.
